Lake Shore Public Schools –
Building Successful Futures, One Student at a Time
Located in the lakefront community of St. Clair Shores, the Lake Shore district is home to over 3,500 students. From Kindergarten through our graduating seniors, Lake Shore students are a part of a strong school system that works hard every day for the benefit of our students. We live by our motto, "We build successful futures for all - one student at a time."
A $35 million dollar bond proposal was passed in 2016 to bring classroom innovations and facility upgrades to create a 21st Century learning environment. By the 2018-19 school year, all students will be given a device as the district integrates a 1 to 1 initiative into the curriculum.
Lake Shore offers accelerated learning opportunities starting in elementary school. Students consistently have strong test scores, and teachers utilize the latest technology to track individual student progress throughout the school year. The district currently offers foreign language starting in Kindergarten. Elementary students enjoy daily enrichment opportunities and a full calendar of extracurricular activities. Our middle and high schools are home to award winning athletics, fine and performing art programs. Lake Shore offers dual enrollment opportunities for students free of charge.
Macomb County families seeking a quality education for the K-11 students are invited to apply through the School of Choice program. 28850 Harper Ave, Saint Clair Shores, 586.285.8484, www.lakeshoreschools.org.
