School Age Child Care

PARENTS! We need your help! As we move toward January, we are asking all families to fill out their child/ren's SACC schedule for the month, this will help us staff the program more efficiently.

PLEASE NOTE THAT AS THE CASES OF COVID 19 RISE, SOME STAFF MAY BE REQUIRED TO QUARANTINE. WE ARE ASKING ALL PARENTS TO MAKE ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS FOR CARE IN THE EVENT WE HAVE TO CLOSE OUR SACC PROGRAM DUE TO STAFFING.

SACC operates starting at 6:30 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m.

Please fill out the online weekly schedule form by
6:00pm THURSDAY prior to the week of care.
If a schedule is not received by Thursday, care may not be given.
We are encouraging all parents to utilize our e-Funds system
to pay for care this year due to COVID-19.
*Dates and Times are subject to change upon staff availability*

 Key Things to remember:

  • Face Masks must be worn by students and adults at all times (unless deemed medically unable by a doctor's note on file)
  • Because of COVID-19, parents WILL NOT be permitted to enter building for drop off or pick up. A SACC caregiver will sign your child in and out.
  • Your child(ren) will only be allowed to sign up for SACC on their scheduled school days

Mission Statement

To provide children and families of Lake Shore Public Schools access to quality School-Age Child Care programs, activities and opportunities of enrichment in a safe, caring environment during non-school hours. We believe that these opportunities and experiences contribute to the healthy development of children as they become effective members of society. Our program connects the world of research, policy and practices.

Philosophy

The School-Age Child Care Program provides for children daily activities and relationships that offer the opportunities for the development and growth of each child in the following areas: physical, social, emotional, and intellectual. This is achieved by offering children choices and enrichment in a safe and nurturing environment.

School-Age Child Care (SACC)

The School-Age Child Care Program is licensed by the Department of Human Services to provide child care supervision for children whose parents are working or who are not at home immediately before or after regular school hours.

  • 1:18 child-adult ratio
  • Qualified caregivers who care for your child's well-being and happiness.
  • Many varied activities that foster cognitive, social, emotional language and physical growth and development.
  • Center areas such as science, art, reading, homework and building.
